Kevin Weaver, 28, of Rome was arrested his week for burglary and possession of drugs.
According to police, Weaver entered four different vehicles with the intent to commit theft. After that, Weaver crossed the street and entered a residence’s garage with the intent to commit theft. When officers arrived, they found a welding machine 50 yards from the garage.
When searched, police found a pill bottle inside Weaver’s pocket with two different types of pills inside. Weaver admitted to the officer that that were hydrocodone and Alprazolam. The label had been peeled off of the bottle.
Weaver is charged with four felony counts of entering a vehicle with the intent to commit theft, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, felony second-degree burglary, and pills not in the original container.
