Kevin Weaver, 28, of Rome was arrested this week for entering a vehicle and committing theft.

According to police, on October 21, 2018, Weaver entered a vehicle without permission and stole a lunch box type bag containing medication and diabetic supplies. Along with the lunch box, Weaver also took three wallets that were inside the vehicle.

One of the wallets contained a debit card which Weaver attempted to use at multiple businesses in Floyd County.

When police were serving an arrest warrant for the crime on October 25, 2018, they arrested Weaver at his residence. When searching him they found a schedule II controlled substance and a schedule IV controlled substance in his possession. The pills were found in a bottle that did not belong to him.

Weaver is charged with felony possession of a schedule II substance, felony possession of a schedule IV substance, felony financial transaction theft, felony entering an automobile, drugs not in their original container, theft by taking, and criminal trespass.
