A 31-year old Silver Creek man, Joshua Mantooth, who was arrested last week for exploitation of the elderly is facing additional charges for a separate incident.
Reports said that Mantooth accepted an advance payment for a 1999 Mitsubishi box truck, which is valued at $10,500, to complete property improvements at a residence on Cedartown Highway in Lindale.
However, authoroties stated that the work was never completed.
Mantooth is charged with conversion of payments for real property improvements and theft by conversion in this latest case.

Joshua Mantooth, 31, of Silver Creek, was arrested Tuesday for stealing $2000 from an elderly man in May 2018.
According to police, on May 1, 2018, Mantooth accepted a $2000 advance from the 65-year-old victim to complete property improvements on the victim’s home. Mantooth cashed the check for his own use and never returned to complete the work.
Mantooth is charged with felony conversion of payments for real property improvements, felony theft by conversion, felony exploitation of the elderly, and felony probation violation.
