Clifford Whatley, 30, of Rome was arrested this week after he stabbed his girlfriend in August 2018.
According to police, on August 22, 2018, officers arrived at the scene of the incident and found the female victim bleeding profusely from her left arm after Whatley stabbed her. Both of her bones in her lower arm had been broken and she had cuts on her head and chest area.
Whatley allegedly fled the scene, and the victim went to a neighbor’s apartment to seek help.
Whatley is charged with felony aggravated assault.
