Julian Cux-Garcia, 38, of Rome was arrested Monday afternoon for physically assaulting his girlfriend.

According to police reports, Cux-Garcia grabbed the victim’s toe and broke it. He proceeded to get a metal shelf and hit the 43-year-old victim over the head several times. He also hit the victim in the face with a closed fist leaving visible injuries.

When officers arrived at the scene, he refused to comply with the officer’s verbal commands and pulled away from the officers during the arrest.

Cux-Garcia is charged with felony aggravated battery, felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor battery, and misdemeanor willful obstruction of law enforcement.
