Shawn Stansell, 37, of Calhoun was arrested in Rome on Sunday afternoon when he was found to be in possession of drugs.
According to police reports, Stansell was arrested on Turner McCall Blvd. when officers found him to be in possession of a glass pipe containing marijuana. Stansell also tried to run from officers to avoid arrest.
Stansell is charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession and use of drug-related objects, and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.
