Celisa Katherine Ballard, 38 of Shannon, was jailed this week after police said she failed to properly send her 11 year-old child to school.
Reports said that Ballard’s child missed 8 unexcused days of school while a student at Model Elementary School.
Ballard is charged with the mandatory education of children.
