Rome City Schools is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Rome Middle School teacher, Dwight Hurt.
Hurt died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Mr. Hurt was a first-year teacher of 8th grade English and Language Arts. He was loved by the students of Rome Middle School and respected by his colleagues.
