Eric Martin Bunch, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he choked and hit a woman at a location at the intersection on GA 53 and 140.
Reports stated that Bunch grabbed the woman in a choke hold before using an open hand to hit her in the arm.
Bunch is charged with sample battery and battery.
