Robert Joseph Heagle, 36 of Rome, was arrested after beating a woman with his fist at a home on Butler Street.
Reports said that Heagle hit the woman with closed fist “all over her body”. Police added that the woman suffered substantial bruising under both of her eyes as well as drawing blood on her neck and foot.
Heagle is charged with aggravated assault and battery
