Jody Lawayne Pelfrey, 48 of Rome, and Toni Elise Ore, 46 of Kingston, were jailed on drug charges after a traffic stop on Highway 101 at Center Road.

Reports said that officers located two baggies of suspected meth, digital scales, a number of baggies for packaging narcotics,  a bag of suspected marijuana, and a glass pipe containing meth residue.

Police added that the vehicle was stopped because of a defective taillight.

Both are  charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana and drug related objects.

Pelfrey is additionally charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute, taillight requirements and parole violation.
