James Ray Hash, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he stole a 2002 Chevrolet Avalance from a home on Reynolds Street.
Reports said that Hash has previously been told by the victim that he could not borrow the truck, but drove away from the home with it anyway.
Hash is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
