Rome police are still investigating a stabbing of a woman that occurred Friday on Nixon Avenue.
Reports said that the woman said she got into a Dodge Durango with two men on Hardy Avenue and traveled to a home on Wilson Avenue where the driver paid her to engage in sexual activity with him.
After the experience was over the couple got back into the SUV and the man allegedly became upset about the sex and demanded his money back.
The woman said that after she refused the man stopped the vehicle, got out, opened the door, punched her in the mouth and then stabbed her in the chest.
The victim then got out of the vehicle and ran to a home on Nixon Avenue where she knocked on a door and said “I got stabbed, call 911.”
The vehicle drove off. The woman was treated and released from a local hospital.
The investigation is continuing.
