Brett Jacob Edwards, 28 of Plainville, was jailed Monday in Rome after he allegedly entered the Mapco gas station on Martha Berry Highway and stole lottery tickets.
Reports stated that three Super Max The Money tickets were stolen on August 9, 2017.
Police added that Edwards theft used deception “to influence the game”
Edwards is charged with unlawful influence of prizes, coercion, fraud, deception or tampering with equipment or materials.
