Michael Douglas Bailey, 20 of Rome, was arrested Tuesday after police said he was in possession of two checks that were written by a person other than the rightful owner.
Reports said that Bailey then deposited the checks into an account with the intent to defraud the vicitim.
Bailey is charged with identity fraud, fourth degree forgery and theft by receiving stolen property.
