Anderson Abadio-Lopez, 28 of Rome, was arrested at Berry College after allegedly breaking into a car in order to steal peanuts.
Police added that while being taken into custody Lopez attempted to pull away from them.
They went on to state that he was under the influence of alcohol while committing the crime.
Lopez is charged with public drunk, obstruction of law enforcement and entering an automobile with intent to commit a felony.
