Brian Demond Redwine, 42 of Rome, was arrested Wednesday for burglarizing a home and causing mental anguish to an elderly person.

Report said that Redwine burglarized a home on Lee Street back on June 3rd of this year. Police stated that Redwine entered an outbuilding and two several fishing poles.  He then allegedly came back the following night and stole more fishing poles.

Reports went on to say that Redwine proceeded to come back a third time and stole a bicycle on July 8th, this time being captured on camera.

The victims, ages 89 and 85 years of age, told police that they have been placed in substantial mental anguish and fear for their safety.  They said that they have resorted to locking their doors plus placing a chair against them for added security.  They also told police that they are fearful of going outside.

Redwine was captured on Thursday at the Citgo on Woods Road.  A search of Redwine resulted in police finding suspected meth on him.

Redwine is charged with burglary, theft by taking, intimidation of elderly, possession of meth and failure to appear.
