Timothy Shane Perry, 42 of Rome, was arrested over the weekend after a physically altercation with his 12 year-old step daughter.
Reports said that Perry grabbed the arm and in the process leaving red marks.
Reports added that the incident occurred at a location on Calhoun Highway.
Perry is charged with simple battery.
