William Lee Robinson, 35 of Rome, was arrested on Thursday after he was accused of placing his hands around his girlfriend’s throat while holding her down on the floor.
Report stated that Robinson then left the scene in a vehicle while intoxicated. He was later found sitting in his vehicle at a location on Martha Berry Boulevard.
Robinson is charged with simple battery and driving under the influence of alcohol.
