Thomas Euell Malone, 29 of Lindale, was arrested on Sunday at the Studio 6 motel after he allegedly hit his wife in the face with an open palm.
Reports stated that he then proceeded to slap and grab her arm all while allowing a child to witness the attack.
Malone is charged with simple battery and cruelty to children.
