Whitney Breann Nelson, 19 of Cave Spring, was arrested on Thursday after she was accused of leaving the scene of an accident at Mockingbird Circle and Shady Lane back on April 24th.
Reports said that Nelson, while driving, crossed into on coming traffic, went off the roadway and hit a ditch. Reports added that in the process Nelson struck two mailboxes before the leaving the scene of the accident.
Reports continued that Nelson refused to return to the scene. It was also discovered that her license came back suspended for a DUI.
Nelson is charged with hit and run, duty upon striking a fixture, failure to maintain lane and driving on a suspended license.
