Rome Police officers decided to try changing the path of a 14 year-old who was caught shoplifting over the weekend.
Reports said that Lt Walters and Officer Brunson caught a 14 yr old shoplifting candy from a local business. They added that after the child gave the candy back the took him home. It was there they discovered that he didn’t have any food in his house.
At that point the officers took him to get groceries and Lt Waters spent well over $50 getting him enough groceries to last a week!
