Joshua Nathaniel Danford, 24 of Rome, was arrested after leading police on a high speed chase near the Loop and Calhoun Road.

Reports stated that Daniel failed to pull over for authorities when they initiated a traffic stop.  They added that Danford proceeded to reach speeds of over 65 miles per hour. He also allegedly failed to stop for two red lights.

Officers stated that after pulling over Danford and three other occupants in the vehicle proceeded to flee on foot.

Reports added that one of the occupants was captured and informed officers of Danford’s identity.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a stolen firearm and several other items.

Danford is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction of law enforcement, Speeding, Driving on wrong side of roadway, driving without insurance, driving a vehicle on a cancelled vehicle registration, two counts of stop sign violation, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, attempting to elude a police officer.
