Rome police are investigating an attack on a female victim by a woman holding a tire iron.

Reports stated that the victim was held down by her attacker’s mother and a man Tuesday at the intersection of Camp and Copeland Street. .

The victim told police that she was walking down the street when the suspect pulled up and began to threaten her for dating her ex-boyfriend.   She added that the woman then proceeded to get out of the vehicle and swing a tire iron, striking her in the arm.

Reports added that a man and the attacker’s mother then joined in and held the victim down while the suspect continued to hit her.

Police said that the victim suffered visible marks on her face and arm.
