John Wesley Sprayberry, 37 of Silver Creek, and Jammie Nicole Sheffield, 38 of Aragon, were arrested following a traffic stop near Roys Little Garden on Sunday.
Reports sated that Sprayberry was pulled over after allegedly failing to stop at stop sign. Police said that when he pulled over he proceeded to get out of his car and then attempt to flee the scene on foot.
A shorter chase ensued, but Sprayberry was quickly captured. Police said that a search of him uncovered a stolen driver’s license.
Sheffield, a passenger in the vehicle, was found with a smoking pipe containing meth residue. She was also charged with allowing Sprayberry to drive without proper insurance. She is also accused of improperly transferring a license plate from one car to another. Finally, she is also charged with the possession of a stolen Georgia’s drivers license.
Sprayberry is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction of law enforcement, driving without insurance, and stop sign violation.
Sheffield is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, acquiring a license plate for the purpose of concealing identification, driving without license and possession of methamphetamine.
