Elizabeth Carol Sumner, 27 of Silver Creek, was arrested after she was allegedly found to be driving under the influence of Xanax pills.
Reports stated that Sumner was taken to Floyd Medical Center, where she became combative with the officer. Reports added that Sumner kicked the officer in the face while she was attempting to handcuff her.
Sumner is charged with DUI and obstruction.
