Gelita Freeman, 62 of Rome, pleaded guilty this week to exploiting an elderly woman out of her money.
The open plea came before the start of the trial. An open plea means that there were no negations or recommendations from the D.A.’s office.
Freeman is scheduled to be sentenced April 4th.
Gelita D. Freeman, 62 of Rome, was arrested this week for allegedly financially exploiting an elderly woman.
Reports stated that Freeman used the victim’s debit card to withdraw money from an ATM for personal usage back on July 1 of this year.
She is charged with four felony counts of financial transaction card fraud and felony exploitation of elder persons.
