Purshada Monique Hammond, 25 of Rome, was arrested on Thursday after she allegedly spit on a doctor attempting to help her.
Reports said that Hammond was at 511 Plaza Place when she began to curse and yell outside an apartment complex.
When officers arrived on the scene they proceeded to take her to Floyd Medical Center for treatment. It was there she spat on a doctor who was trying to treat her.
Hammond is charged with felony willful interference with emergency medical professional by use of threats or violence and misdemeanor disorderly conduct and battery.
