Wesley Dewitt Dollar, 32 of Centre, was arrested over the weekend in Rome after a physical altercation with a Piedmont, Alabama woman.
Reports stated that Dollar choked the woman at a home on Chateau Drive early Saturday morning.
Officers said that the victim suffered bruising to her throat.
Dollar is charged with aggravated assault.
