Courtney Carlene Gobel, 38 of Rome, was arrested at the Royal Inn on Martha Berry Blvd after allegedly shoplifting from the West Rome Wal-Mart.
Reports stated that Gobel stole a backpack and a cell phone charger at the store before heading to the hotel around lunch on Monday.
Reports added that during her arrest she was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Gobel is charged with theft by shoplifting and possession of meth.
