Tyler Matthew Wright, 27 of Rome, was arrested on numerous charges after an officer initiated a traffic stop on East 2nd Avenue at East 4th Street to inform him that his headlight was out.
Reports stated that when officers approached the vehicle the suspect told police that he did not have his license on him.
A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected marijuana. Police then stated that at that point Wright attempted to flee, and ignore officers commands to stop. They added that Wright proceeded to give them a fake name and date of birth.
Reports went on to say that when they arrived at the jail Wright singed at least five official documents with a fake name.
Wright is charged with contempt of superior court, two counts of probation violation, giving a false information to police, five counts of first degree forgery, possession of marijuana, obstruction of law enforcement, driving without insurance, driving without license, and headlights.
