A former Rome doctor,  Kevin Emory Brown, has been sentenced to 20 years of probation after pleading guilty to 37 counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

Brown was granted as a first offender thanks to the plea.  If he completes his 20 years without any criminal activity his record will be expunged. He must also submit to drug testing and for each year he passes a year will be taken off his probation.

He must also undergo a psychiatric assessment and not work in the medical community.
