Roderick Maurice Chambers, 35 of Rome, was arrested Monday morning on East 14th Street for numerous offenses including beating a woman in front of her children.
Reports stated that Chambers as found on Housing Authority property, in which he had been previously banned, just after midnight Monday.
Chambers was also wanted for another crime that occurred on the property back on November 20th. Reports stated that Chambers hit and caused victim injury to a woman’s face.
He also allegedly took her cell phone when she attempted to dial 911 for help and broke it.
The incident occurred on front of the woman’s children.
Chambers is charged with battery, three counts of criminal trespass, cruelty to children, and obstruction a person making an emergency call.
