Jordan Devonte Woods, 22 of Rome, was arrested this week near a power substation on West 11th Street after police found him with suspected cocaine and drug related objects.  According to reports, Riverwood Retirement community notified police after homeless suspects began to bother residents.

Reports stated that Woods  was told to remove his hands from his pocket after being asked to leave the premises.  However, reports added, Woods ignored officer’s commands to remove hands from his pocket, even fighting back an officers attempt to remove them.

Police added that after removing Woods hands they were able to locate cocaine residue on a scale in his jacket pocket.

Woods is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug related objects and obstruction of police officers.
