Macy Renee James, 22 of Rockmart, is facing numerous identity fraud charges after she allegedly attempted to be booked into the Floyd County Jail using someone else’s identification.

Reports stated that James falsely signed numerous checks with others name at the Staples Shopping Center on December 18th.

Police stated that during her arrest they located two different ID cards belonging to different people. They also found a bag of suspected meth on her.

Jail officers finally realized James’ true identity while booking her in.

James is charged with four counts of first degree forgery, four counts of false statements and writings, two counts of identity fraud, giving a false name to law enforcement, and possession of methamphetamine.
