An inmate at the Floyd County Jail caused a scene at the courthouse on Tuesday, leading him to additional charges.  Reports stated that Jeffrey Tyler Aycock, 25 of Rome, began to yell at Superior Court Judge Bryant Durham and as a result was ordered out of the room.

It was then that Aycock began to resist deputies who were escorting him out.  Reports went on to state that Aycock and deputies scuffled into the women’s restroom, where he fell into the wall and created  a large hole.

At this point others came in and assisted the deputy into subduing Aycock.

Aycock is now facing charges of felony obstruction along with misdemeanors interference with government property and disorderly conduct.

Aycock has been in jail since Oct. 1 on a felony probation violation and the misdemeanors reckless conduct, criminal trespass and failure to appear in court.
