Floyd County Police arrested Jason Young Duvall, 36 of Silver Creek, and and charged him with a wreck that resulted in the death of 64 year-old Jimmy Maurice Gribble on Tuesday. Reports stated that Duvall was driving on a suspended license when he crashed into Gribble on U.S. 27 near Armuchee High School.
Police stated that Duvall was a “habitual violator” and was not only driving without a license, but is credited for failing to maintain his lane.
Reports added that Gribble was driving a blue Toyota truck when he was struck by a white Chevrolet one-ton work truck with an Ohio tag. Reports stated that the white truck pulled out in front of Gribble near Amberwood Drive.
Duvall was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
He is charged with vehicular homicide, failing to maintain lane, driving on a suspended license and being a habitual violator.
A third vehicle, a Dodge Ram 1500, was also struck, but the driver was uninjured.
