John Paul Nichols Jr, 38 of Cave Spring, was arrested this week after burglarizing the home of an 89 year-old relative.

Reports stated that Nichols stole over $170,000 worth of jewelry, collectables and tools from the man’s home on Blacks Bluff Road back on October 26th.

Reports went on to say that the elderly man suffered “mental anguish” because several of the items were stolen were irreplaceable collectables.

Police stated that Nichols then took the merchandise to Cash America Pawn and received $475 for the items.

Nichols is charged with first degree burglary, theft by deception and exploitation and intimidation of disabled adults.
