William Kenneth Jarrett, 42 of Rome, was arrested on Monday after he allegedly slapped a female victim across the face in front of two minor children and other witnesses.
Reports added that Jarrett also broke a personal item of the victim.
Jarrett is charged with battery, criminal trespass and two counts of cruelty to children.
