Rage Rachell Dowda, 25 of Rome, was arrested this week after allegedly beating a 7 year-old girl with a belt.
Reports stated that Dowda “maliciously caused excessive physical pain” to the child when she disciplined her with a metal studded belt. Reports added that the belt left marks, brusing and lacerations to the child’s leg.
Authorities said that the alleged abuse occurred between July 21 and July 28th of this year.
Dowda is charged with cruelty to children and battery.
