Floyd County police confirmed that 19 year-old Colton Rood was killed in a motorcycle wreck on Floyd Springs Road Saturday afternoon.
Police said that Rood was traveling south on Floyd Springs Road on a 2014 Yamaha 950 motorycyle when a 2010 Toyota Camry turned onto his path and struck Rood.
The driver of the Camry, 58-year-old Tonita Jo Rudd of Kennesaw, was attempting to turn into a driveway when she struck Rood.
Rudd is charged with misdemeanor vehicular homicide and failure to yield,
Rood’s body will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
