Mauricio Marin-Soto, 31 of Norcoss, was arrested in Rome on Tuesday after hunting down a woman who was in protective custody.

Reports stated that Marin-Soto tracked down the woman who was residing at a Hospitality House in Rome.  After it was discovered that he found her location she was moved to a nearby hotel.   While there she received a text message from the suspect stating  her location and who was with her at the time.

Reports went on to say that at that point the victim left the hotel and began to drive to the east Rome Wal-Mart.   The victim stated that she noticed Marin-Soto following her and as a result tried to lose him.  The suspect then rammed his vehicle into hers, which contained another adult and six young children.

After arriving at Wal-mart the suspect then attempted to block in the victim’s car.

At that point police arrived on the scene and arrested Marin-Soto.

A search uncovered suspected cocaine in his vehicle.

He is charged with eight counts of aggravated assault, six counts of cruelty to children and one count each of possession of cocaine, aggressive driving, and stalking,.
