A Cumming man, Cody James Beavers, 23, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after he allegedly attempted to arrange a drug deal while working on a work detail assignment as an inmate with the Floyd County Prison.
Reports stated that he is accused of arranging for someone to deliver suspected methamphetamine to his prison work detail while at Dellinger Park in Cartersville.
Beaves is charged with Purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substances.
