Garrett Lee Easley, 26 of Lawrenceville, was arrested in Floyd County over the weekend for allegedly physically assaulting a police officer.
Reports stated that Easley grabbed a police officer by the neck then slammed him against a wall at the intersection of First Avenue and Avenue D in Shannon.
Easley is charged with two counts of felony obstruction of an officer and misdemeanor improper lane change, failure to maintain lane and driving under the influence of alcohol.
