Marvin Pointer, 39 of Cedartown, was arrested on Monday on felony drug charges after police spotted him texting and driving.
Reports said that officers initiated the traffic stop at Cave Spring and Darlington Drives. After being pulled over officers staid that they discovered he was not only under the influence of drugs, but also possessed them.
A search of Pointer uncovered methamphetamine and marijuana.
He was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and felony possession of meth.
