Cecil Lynn Peek Jr., 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after leading police on a chase.  Reports said that Peek ran from police after wrecking his motorcycle near Cole Street.  Police said that they were attempting to pull Peek over after they spotted him driving with an expired tag.

They went on to say that after wrecking his motorcycle Peek ran though the woods and attempted to hide.

Police said that they later found methamphetamine on the motorcycle..

He is charged with felony probation violation, meth possession, misdemeanor willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, concealing the identity of a vehicle, driving while on a suspended or revoked license, driving without insurance, driving on an expired tag, and possession and use of drug-related objects.
