Javarick Javon McCain, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after leading police on a high speed chase back on April 29th of this year, while driving a reportedly stolen Jeep.

Reports said that an officer attempted to pull McCain over for a seatbelt violation when he drove away at a high rate of speed.  They added that during a chase McCain drove on the wrong side of the road, ran a red light before a pit maneuver was executed on his car.

Reports added that once stopped, McCain exited his vehicle and ran into a nearby home to evade capture.

He was finally captured on Monday during a traffic stop on East 15th Street.

He is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving on a suspended license, criminal trespass, obstruction of law enforcement,  seat belt violation, signal violation, driving on wrong side of roadway, driving on divided highway, reckless driving and failure to obey traffic control devices.
