Gordon County Sheriff’s detectives initiated investigations into thefts and burglaries in and about the Resaca community in northern Gordon County. Acting on a lead developed from a citizen’s description of 2 suspicious white/males in a suspicious car, detectives rapidly identified and arrested three (3) persons: Brandon William Lee Hobgood, age 24, of 4228 US Highway 41 NW, Resaca, Patrick William McAfee, age 32, of Apt 37, 107 NewTown Road, and Angel Lee Byrd, age 24, of 100 Springdale Drive Apt 68, Calhoun.
All 3 are charged with 3 counts of Burglary (each), as well as 1 count of theft (each), Hobgood and McAfee are both charged with additional counts of Burglary, and Entering an Auto to Commit Theft.
All three remain in jail pending bond.
The stolen items included lawnmowers, power tools, copper wire, and air conditioning appliances.
