Micah Nevin Dempsey, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly assaulted a 20 year-old woman while holding her against her will in a vehicle for over half an hour.
Reports said that Dempsey pulled the female victim’s hair and then an earring out of her ear while driving. The victim also reported that Dempsey tossed her cell phone out of the car window while riding around the city.
He was arrested at the corner of Shorter Avenue and Elm Street.
Dempsey is charged with felony false imprisonment, probation violation and misdemeanor simple battery and criminal trespassing.
