Ernest Isaac Smith, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week following a nearly year-long investigation. Reports said that Smith allegedly accessed funds of a Roman from the Regions banks on Shorter Avenue back last September.
Smith was arrested on Tuesday and charged with identity fraud and two misdemeanor counts of theft by taking.
